(Scroll down to see our adoptable animals)
Our animals are available for adoption with an
approved application. The adoption fee for dogs is $125.00 and $75.00 for cats. Adoption fees include spay/neuter, DAVP+L, and Bordetella vaccination (dogs), FVRCP vaccination (cats) rabies
vaccination, deworming, microchip (dogs & cats), heartworm test (dogs over 6 mos) and Felv/FIV test (cats). Most dogs and cats are treated with flea/tick prevention and dogs that have been with
us long enough receive monthly heartworm preventative. You need to be 18 years old to adopt a pet. We check references, including veterinarian reference before adopting a pet to a new owner. This is
to ensure that the animal is going to a safe and forever home.
If you are interested in one of our pets, please fill in and submit an application by pressing the button above. We are happy to e-mail, text or mail an application to you if
needed. All applications must be completed fully. Please allow time for the staff to check references, etc. before the application review will be completed --usually just one business day, but could
be longer due to holidays, weekends, being short-staffed, etc. Responses are made through email. Meet and Greets with our dogs and cats can be scheduled once an application has been
approved.
If you have lost your animal please call or come in and fill out a missing animal report. We do urge you to do this as soon as you know the animal is gone. We will do our best to let you know if we have your pet, but it's always best to come check in person to be sure. We also recommend sharing a picture on social media--especially the Graham Texas Animal Control page on Facebook.
Animals that come in as strays are on hold for 72 hours to allow owners time to reclaim, then become property of HSYC and can go up for adoption to approved applicants, with the exception of cats deemed feral by the Graham ACO. Those cats do not come to HSYC.
Animals are not adopted out first come, first served. Applications are reviewed and the best match will be approved for each animal. Decisions of shelter staff are final. We encourage you to watch our webpage as well as our Facebook page as we have new arrivals almost daily.
